A lovely large Sevres jardinière in tones of mottled blue by the famous artisan Paul Milet.
With original ormolu mount to base. Marked Sevres to base.
Circa 1900
Paul Milet was born in 1870 and is the son of the ceramicist Félix Optat Milet. Milet trained at the Manufacture de Sèvres. He became a chemist and worked in the factory founded by his father in 1866.
Paul Milet held exhibitions at the Galliera Palace during the Porcelain Exhibition in 1907, then in 1909 and 1911 at the Stoneware, Earthenware and Terracotta Exhibition.
